|2nd Session: March 18 - April 29, 2014. Sculpture and Cartoons!
All classes are $120 per six-week session or $20 per class. Due to Spring Break classes will be cancelled on April 1, 2014.
SCULPTacular! (Grades 4 - 8): Tuesdays, 10:00 - 12:00 AM. Students will explore different ways to create
three-dimensional sculptures from their own imaginations. We will create a figurative sculpture out of wire and plaster,
a small paper mache creature, and their own creative sculpture using clay and found objects.
Cartoons, Caricatures, and Bobbleheads! (Grades K - 3): Tuesdays, 1:00 - 3:00 PM. Students will be
creating various projects in drawing, painting, and sculpture with cartoons as our inspiration. We will learn how to
draw caricatures of ourselves 15 years from now, draw and paint our own cartoons or comic strips using pen and ink
and watercolor paint, and create a clay bobblehead of our favorite cartoon characters.

All six-week home school classes are $20 per class or $120 per session and a month-long classes are $20 per class and $80 per
session and are taught by Richmond Smith. For families with more than one child, the first child is full-price, the second child is
half off the full-price.
|1st Session: January 28 - March 4, 2014. DRAWING AND PAINTING!
All classes are $120 per six-week session or $20 per class. Make- up classes are scheduled March 10, and are $20 per student.
Realistic Drawing and Watercolor Painting (Grades 4 - 8) Tuesdays, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM. In this
drawing and painting class, students will focus on using certain tricks and techniques in learning how to see in order
to become better at drawing by drawing from a specific photograph to make it a realistic drawing. Students will also
use some of the same drawing techniques and then learn some other painting techniques in order to create a
beautiful watercolor painting.
Creating Masterpieces like the Modern Masters (Grades K - 3) Tuesdays, 1:00 - 3:00 PM. In this
drawing, painting, and printmaking class, students will explore the theory and practice of making art by learning about
modern master techniques. Students will learn how abstract artists use music similar to Kandinsky to do their own
abstract watercolor paintings, study the Surrealists and portraiture to create acrylic paintings combined inspired by
their dreams or subconscious symbols, and study Andy Warhol and photo-emulsion screen printing to create screen
prints on T-shirts of their favorite celebrities.

|3rd Session: May 6 - May 27, 2014. Printmaking!
All classes are $80 per month-long session or $20 per class.
Making Multiples! (Grades 4 - 8): Tuesdays, 10:00 - 12:00 AM. Students will learn the amazing art form of
printmaking that is often overlooked. We will be learning how to use linoleum carving tools in order to carve our own
stamps out of soft rubber erasers and then we will use the same tools to carve into linoleum blocks and be able to
print in a wide variety of colors.
Introduction to Printmaking (Grades K - 3): Tuesdays, 1:00 - 3:00 PM. Students will learn the history of
printmaking and in each class will do a different printmaking project in which we will create styrofoam block prints of
our favorite places, learn how to draw portraits and create low relief prints of a someone they know and love,
monotypes and monoprints of funny scenes, and a screen print on a T-shirt.
