| 2nd Session: February 27 - April 13, 2012. This six-week session is $90 per student or $15 per class and should be payed to each individual teacher before or on the first day of class. Due to Spring Break, all classes will be cancelled April 2 -6, 2012. Make-up classes are scheduled on April 16 for Monday Classes and April 18 for Wednesday classes and are $15 per student. Introduction to Printmaking (Grades K -5): Mondays, 4:00 - 5:30. Taught by Richmond Smith. February 27 - April 9, 2012. Students will learn a variety of different printmaking techniques including screen printing onto T-shirts, styrofoam block printing, monotypes,and monoprints. Every class we will be doing something new and different to introduce students the great world of printmaking! Intermediate /Advanced Printmaking(Grades 6 -12): Wednesdays, 4:00 - 5:30. Taught by Richmond Smith. February 29 - April 11, 2012. In this printmaking class, students will be doing more advanced techniques of linoleum and eraser block printing and screen printing onto T-shirts. The subject matter will be open to students, but students will be introduced to a wide variety of different printmaking techniques to create wonderful prints! Fun Fridays! (any grade): Fridays, 4:00 - 5:30. Taught by Richmond Smith. March 2 - April 13, 2012. By request, this class for all ages is designed just for those students who need a creative outlet to create anything they want. I will provide any kind of drawing, painting, printmaking, or sculpture materials, and I will provide assistance in helping those students create anything they want using the materials and knowledge I have. |

Make-up classes are scheduled on February 23, 2012 and are $15 per student. Photo- Realistic Drawing! (Grades 3 - 8): Mondays, 4:00 - 5:30 Taught by Richmond Smith. January 9 - February 20, 2012. Ever interested in learning how to draw just like a realistic photograph. This class will be studying the famous photo realistic painter, and learn to draw from a realistic photograph with step- by- step instructions and then turn this drawing into a wonderful pen and ink drawing! Due to the MLK holiday, we will not have class on Monday, January 16th. Mixed-media Painting! (Grades 6 -12): Wednesdays, 4:00 -5:30. Taught by Richmond Smith. January 11 - February 15, 2012. Students will be learning how to use a wide variety of different media such as painting, photography, paper collage, pastels, etc... in order to create an incredible work of art. Students will be given an option of an artwork with a social or political message or a painting that incorporates there own family heritage. We will make the most of all the media to make beautiful pieces of artwork! Fun Fridays! (any grade): Fridays, 4:00 - 5:30. Taught by Richmond Smith. January 13 - February 17, 2012. | 3rd Session: April 23 - June 1, 2012. This six-week session is $90 per student or $15 per class and should be payed to each individual teacher before or on the first day of class. Make-up classes are scheduled on June 4 for Monday Classes and June 6for Wednesday classes and are $15 per student. Ceramic Animal Banks (Grades K- 5): Mondays, 4:00 -5:30. Taught by Richmond Smith. April 23 - May 28, 2012. Using hand building techniques, students will create their own animal bank (similar to piggy banks) out of clay. Students will learn techniques of pinch, slab, and other sculptural techniques to create their own amazing creatures or animals out of clay. Self - Portrait Sculpture (Grades 6- 12): Wednesdays, 4:00 - 5:30. Taught by Richmond Smith. April 25 - May 30, 2012. Students will first create a creative or realistic self-portrait sculpture out of clay. After finishing this sculpture, we will create a wax mold around the sculpture reinforced with cheese cloth, and then take the clay out of the mold. Last, we will be pour liquid plaster into the mold to make a finished plaster sculpture! Fun Fridays! (any grade): Fridays, 4:00 - 5:30. Taught by Richmond Smith. April 27 - June 1, 2012.
